Yes, it's back!
My polycule and I had just finished brunch on NW 21st and we were out & about boutiquing when, bathed in the mid-day light, what do I see, but a marquee of Oregon surfing's not-so-distant past. I rubbed my eyes to make sure it wasn't the mimosa playing tricks on me, but sure enough there it was, beckoning sweetly like low hanging fruit. "It's back," I stammered, "I thought it was gone forever". Chadre and Mirabelle snuck a concerned look at each other and then at me. "What's back Howly Daddy?" Palms outstretched and tears welling in my eyes, I could hardly form the glorious words. "Cosube... it's back".
Yes, The Sube is risen indeed. The resurrection of Cold Water Surf! Reorienting to this new reality, I decided to check out their new digs for myself and, well, it was actually really cool! They had a few softboards, a couple eco alts, a fin or two, and a fabulous selection of threads, sunnies, nocs, flop flops, pockies, and beard oils. The Cosube crew were super friendly and super knowledgeable about Cold Water Surf Culture. They even took some time to help me assemble a summer lookbook to share on the OSP.
