The best cure is prevention.

1) Boost your immune system by drinking more water every day.

2) Wash your hands frequently during the day.

3) Do not rub your eyes with your finger tips.

i'm just throwin this one out there cuz everybodies got there own remedy.

And as nmm said..nost of which is in your head. :wink: It is phsyco-sematic.

so far i've tried sh%t tons of vitamin C, zinc/coldees, and that airborn stuff that dissolves like alka seltzer.

Once you are infected with a cold, you are screwed. It has to run it's course. Again, a healthy iimmune system will help with this.

If there is a cold going around work, I get extra dillgent about protecting myself and even hit the euchinacea. Though the jury is out on whether the stuff is really effective or not, but as nmm said...it is in your head. I believe it works, therfore it does.

I suggest you drink more water and do nmm's workouts.

I think the best prevention for the cold is staying healthy.

What I do when I start to feel sick is go to the store and buy a bunch of citrus fruits, drink lots of water (until my urine is clear) and try to get at least 9 hours of sleep a night.

I also like the spicy food to get the sinuses flowing. :lol:

well, i work out 5 days a week so i should have a pretty desceent immune system.

the one good thing about college is the free access to dixon @ OSU (weight room).

lift 2 1/2 hrs. mon, wed, fri

run 3 miles, tue. thur. (or surf, which ever turns out more convienient)

this fall and winter has been zero surfing for me... so to stay in shape i enrolled in body sculpting... 80 person class and there is 4 dudes... its amazing...

and the good old lifting at night. plus basketball daily and some running when i feel ambitious... ive gotten bigger and less flexible from the weight lifting and protein... hopefully the spring will bring good surf and get me out of the gym and back to a good flexability and lighter weight...

one thing is for sure... i need to get in a swim conditioning course next term... just too hard not getting in the water...
sixty percent of the time it works everytime.

you can lift all the wieghts you want but without any swimming or surfing, you'll still be out of shape when you get back in the water.

Chemicals man...............that's what the chemicals are for. :lol:

Cold/flu strains? LOL!!!.....you probably don't want to hear about all the other strains that also inhabit pool water. :lol:

FYI (for your information)

EZ = easy
fly = butterfly
RI = rest interval
p = pull = using a pull buoy
jargon = shorthand = too lazy to type the entire word
