Confidence? I suppose.....

Lately.......the only thing my workouts "give" me.......... is a blatant reminder that I'll never be as fast as I once was. It's all downhill baby.....:lol:

I just found out talking to a friend the other day that masters swimming has 50's of fly, back, and breast. I'm giving some serious thought to getting back into the pool for that!

Yeah..........can you believe that sh!t? It's like swimming 8 & under's all over again. :lol:

If I do compete at one of those master meets I'll be the guy in the shirt two sizes too small that has "Age Group Champ" written across the back. Just to show off my prowess :roll:

(I didn't start swimming until highschool)

my wednesday workout
morning
1 mile run
45 min weight training
3 mile run

evening
1 mile walk
hour and some change of yoga
3 mile easy run/walk

i only use a split routine about 2-3x per week

Do you do your running on a treadmill? Trails? Hills?

all......mostly based on weather, i'm not one of those who likes to run in rain or real cold days. yesterday was half road work half treadmill.

Treadmill can be taxing. It is hard to stay focussed. Without the passing of scenery or something...it is hard to deal with treadmill.

i get bored real easy.

Plus there is no ashtray on it.

i hate thursdays!!!

1 mile warm up run

leg extentions 5x10-20
leg curls 6x10-20
deep squats 5x20
puke
stiff leg deadlifts 4x25
inverted sled 3x20
puke again
leg curls 1x30
leg extentions 1x30

2 mile warm down run

2 mile evening walk-out/light stretch

Okay....

15 minute warm up, fast walk on a good incline.

Hack Squats with the Smith Bar: 3X 12 @ 45 each side.
Squat Sled (don't know the name): 3X12 @ 90 Each Side.
Seated Leg Press (inverted sled): 3X12 @ 120 Each Side.
Calf Raises: 3X12 @ 90
Roman Chair: 3X10
Leg Extensions: 3X12 @ 100
Leg Curl: 3X12 @ 80

Burn it out on the treadmill for 30 minutes Hill Program, Level 10 @ 4.5 mph.

Sorry SooLoo....no puking. I'll have to work up to that. :wink:
