Fun week, 2/20 - 2/26:
Mon: 4 hour surf
Tue: 2 hour surf
Wed: 2 hour surf
Thu: 6 mile run
Fri: 2 hour surf
Sat: 5 hour surf
Sun: No exercise

Not so fun week, 2/27 - 3/5:
Mon: 6 mile run
Tue: no exercise
Wed: 6 mile run
Thu: 6 mile run
Fri: 2 hour surf
Sat: 3 hour surf
Sun: No exercise

(backed up with evening situps & pushups)

Woooohooooo!!! Hoot! Hoot!

I've been practicing yoga for about 7 months now. Today........I stuck the jump from downdog into picasana (sp?).....!!!!!! :D

For those of you that don't know what the hell I'm talking about.......it's sort of like a pop-up on your board. Only.......from a psuedo plank position you jump and put/rest your knees onto your tri-ceps and balance on your palms. I did it today without faltering.......no cheating.....no dropping a foot.....no walking forward and then balancing. Straight jump into balance and stuck it. Yay for me! :lol:

Let me start by saying.......taking a week off from the pool kicked my azz this morning. It was as if 3 elephants jumped into the middle of my back and wouldn't get off. :?

Anyway........

25 yard pool

warm up: 400 swim/400 (100drill/200kick/100drill)/400 pull

8x50 @ 1:00 (25 kick/25 swim)

3 x [3x200, 100ez @ 2:00] (200s @ 3:15/3:00/2:45 by set)

8x50 kick @ 1:00

200 ez

total: 4300 yds

post workout workout.......pass out in the steam room.

Hey nmm,
I'll maybe I'll try your workout. What pool do you swim at?
I've been swimming competitively since age 9. I'm retired now, of course. but I get in and swim a couple times a week. you swim with a masters group, or by yourself?

gotta love the breast stroke though

1st: 75fr :10RI 25 stroke
2nd: 50 fr :10RI 50 stroke
3rd: 25 fr :10RI 75 stroke
4th: 16 x 25 @ :30 (400 IM)

200 ez

4 x 100 kick @ 2:00 IM order

I won't bore you guys with today's workout......just let you know that it was a 50 meter pool and more 400 IMs. :lol:

My favorite set was the "monster set", done on Halloween a couple years ago:

warm up

10x100 fly@1:40
10x100back@1:30
10x100breast@1:45
10x100free@1:30
10x200IM @3:00

warm down. carve pumpkin, drink beer.
