I'm starting to develope some rotater cuff pain/damage and am wondering...

1. Is there a flaw in my paddleing that's causing undue stress?

2. Are there exercises I can do to strenghten or rehab the shoulder?

Thanks

Have you had this diagnosed? I ask because often it's not just the rotater cuff that's the problem.

Bison wrote:1. Is there a flaw in my paddleing that's causing undue stress?

Most likely.

Yes. There are several exercises using surgical tubing that are good for strengthening the muscles in the shoulder.

25 yard pool.

quarter mile, crawl.
half mile (each one length alternating) butterly, backstroke, breath stroke, crawl then repeat
quarter mile, kickboard and zoomers, prone and on back.
quarter mile, crawl, backstroke alternating while sprinting the crawl and lollygagging the backstroke.

Took a shower and because I swim at a community center I had a mentally handicapped young man fixated on my naked johnson which made me uncomfortable.

If it was me, that would be reason enough to skip the shower and wait till I got home to take a shower
