the last book i read that i elected to read was super good. clash of civilizations, huntington---describes the world as we know it today and was written in 1996. It is amazing how accurate it is.
another good one was

glad to see you guys are reading. I just read an article about how the margin of men vs. women reading fiction is huge- meaning most men read non-fiction

Well, I was forced to read it by my mom and sister and wife.
Triple teamed. (and not the good type)

Soo, make sure to plow the first 101 pages, once you get to 102 that book goes off. I read it sitting on a balcony in Nicaragua whilst a hurricane was hitting El Salvador and making my trip to surf in Nica, pointless and beerful.

Reading Thor Heyerdahl, Aku Aku and Kon Tiki-

Heyerdahl believes that Polynesia was actually settled by Peruvians and Ecaudorians rather than from asia minor in the west. Lots of Oceanic and Anthropological date to back up this claim. I'm writing something about Peruvian Reed Boats (which are surfed) right now which predate Hawaii surf, and if Polynesia was actually settled by South Americans, it would explain the connection between the reed boat and the surfboard. But it's all conjecture, intersesting nonetheless.
