Surf before work makes me the most smiley, relaxed, good-natured person there. Yeah!

recently i've been pretty stoked about stealing. i'm no klepto but i love the thrill. the little dance i do with my conscience before comitting to a good bit of honest thieving.

i really love it, when the clerk or cashier knows you are theiving and gives a you a little nod like 'go ahead, i don't care, this job sucks, the boss sucks, its yours.' and you exchange smiles and walk out that door.

i love being all casual and calm, smiling as i walk out the door. bye bye. thank you.

sometimes, it just happens. the other day i wanted this really expensive juice at new seasons. my wife gives me hell for buying it as its nearly $4 for a little bottle. anyway, i drunk it as i read a magazine in the store and then went to pay for the empty bottle with my shopping. well, the bottle got conveniently ignored and i walked out.

today, i ordered a coffee from one person but another one gave it to me. 'have a nice day' they said. that to me means, 'ok we're square, see you later' and i walked out with free coffee. rad.

i wish i had more courage to steal bigger and more expensive things. i'm working up to it, so we'll see.

i have some ethics, incase you think i'm a complete tool. i will NOT steal from you or the locally owned small business. i try to steal from chain store $cumbags. places like new seasons are borderline but they get so much money from me, i like to take a little back. powells, same deal. fair game.

places like fred meyer, borders etc. its on, for sure...

I do not condone thievery of any level. I may have to reconsider our friendship.

If you are indeed stealing...I would stop.

Thre's a big difference between someone giving you a free coffee and shoplifting...

The latter means you're a thief.

doc,

the coffee wasn't given to me. i just played along as if i paid.

i enjoy a bit of ethical shoplifting. i'm not stealing anymore than they are from their employees or the planet. and it is good times.

Shoplifters of the world, unite.

I used to steal a lot from work also. I still have reems of paper left from one epic theft of a particular Reader's Digest company I worked for.

Let me know where you'd like to steal from, we can have an ethical discussion and figure out if its cool or not!
